Draft of Introduction for Research Essay #11

Children in our society have grown tremendously in ways of education. With the different ways students learn today are based off of simple technology. Unfortunately the majority of the main streamed students are now of Special Education and require certain and more attention from their teachers,teachers who need to be well educated with technology and the way it works for their students. In order for the students to adapt to a regular education classroom, technology is a huge help for them. It gives them a chance to do their lesson in other ways then the regular education students, keeping them up to speed as well as possible. In order to prove that technology in the classroom for Special Education students, I will be looking closely at an article called, Exploring the challenges of developing digital literacy in the context of special educational needs communities, by Peter Williams. I will also be interviewing a teacher as well as observe both regular education and special education students to see how technology works for them and if there are differences.
